Top 10 Reason Why the Yankees Will Win the World Series This Year…

  • The Gerrit Cole Effect- First off, the Yankees added possibly the greatest pitcher in the league in Gerrit Cole. Gerrit Cole who is coming off an incredible season with 20 wins, and only 5 losses. During this season he also only had 5 losses! Pretty incredible! During this season, he also posted a 2.50 ERA. If he brings this game this season, the Yankees will be looking great.
  • Consistent Gleyber Torres- This guy has been a major blessing for the Yankees. This guy is only 23 years old and is already an All Star. Every season just keeps getting better for this young man. His numbers continue to climb, and now that he has two seasons under his belt, this year (mark my words) will be another major all-star year. Look for big numbers on the offence, and defensive end.
  • The Machine, Aaron Judge- Judge is coming off an impressive, but injury prone season. Look for judge to come back with vengeance this year. Judge is feeling healthy and strong this year. I have a pretty good hunch that this season will be a strong MVP season from this young star.
  • New Strength and Conditioning Coach- Last year was a year full on injuries. In fact, the Yankees had the most injured players in all of baseball (not an area that you want to be first in), and yet, they still pulled off an incredible season. This year look for over 100 wins for this club.
  • New Pitching Coach- The Yankees hired a new pitching coach that is young, and hungry. This hire will be one of the biggest hires of the off season. This guy brings a very new prospective, to a traditionally old coaching staff. This year we will see all the pitcher flourish under this new coach.
  • Coming Off A Successful Season- Can’t be said enough! Record number of injuries, but still a 100+ win season. With a healthier squad, look for 110+ wins this season.
  • Should Have Been Coach of The Year, Aaron Boone- This coach is in his third season in the league and what a difference he has made! I don’t know how he didn’t get coach of the year last year. This is a coach that was expected to only get 80 wins, and instead, the team won 103. Big things are coming for this coach.
  • Strength in Hitting- Pitchers in the league are going to be nervous with this lineup. If healthy, this Yankee squad can post record breaking numbers. Look for Judge, Torres, Urshela, Stanton, and Hicks to put up some amazing numbers this year.
  • Downfall of The Astros*- The Astros seem to be the Yankees down fall each year in the playoffs. I think we all know why. With the league finally catching on to the cheating ways, the Dodgers are going to be the only team that can potentially stop this squad this year… Granted, they don’t cheat as well!
  • Downfall of The Red sox- The Yankees biggest rival is in shambles! This is a team that has given the Yankees a hard time in previous playoffs, and now they have been caught cheating as well. If this wasn’t enough, they currently don’t have a head coach, and they are in the process of trading their best player. Look for the Yankees to capitalize on this ugly looking squad.
